FTC v. Capital Home Advocacy Center, et al
Case Summary
Pursuant to the Court Order entered on April 13, 2018 by the United States District Court, Central District of California, Southern Division, in the matter of the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, Plaintiff v. AMERICAN HOME SERVICING CENTER, LLC, CAPITAL HOME ADVOCACY CENTER, NATIONAL ADVOCACY CENTER, LLC, JAMIE ABURTO, MARCUS FIERRO, JR. EVE CHRISTINE RODRIGUEZ, AND SERGIO LORENZO RODRIGUEZ, Defendants, Krista L. Freitag was appointed Temporary Receiver for American Home Servicing Center, LLC, Capital Home Advocacy Center, National Advocacy Center, LLC, their subsidiaries and affiliates.
As a result of this FTC action, Capital Home Advocacy Center, National Advocacy Center, American Home Servicing Center, their principals, subsidiaries and affiliates are, pending a further order from the District Court, no longer accepting new customers nor will they be involved in providing services related to mortgage modifications.
Existing customers, please note it is imperative that you contact your lender directly as the companies (e.g., Capital Home Advocacy Center and National Advocacy Center) are not able to provide services relating to your mortgage or any possible modification of your mortgage. Lenders often have strict and short deadlines that apply to applications for loan modifications, so it is very important that you contact your lender as soon as possible. Failure to do so could have serious adverse consequences regarding your mortgage.
Lenders, it is imperative you review the document immediately below this paragraph and contact your borrower directly as the companies (e.g., Capital Home Advocacy Center and National Advocacy Center) are not able to provide services relating to any mortgage or any possible modification of a mortgage.
